Providing Clarity

A multi-narrative booklet “translating” the Declaration of Independence into modern contemporary English. Designed as an educational resource, this project seeks to provide clarity on the meaning and purpose of this historically significant American document by translating the historical text, which may be difficult to understand, into modern-day colloquial language, while adding supplemental information and historical context. The booklet organizes the original text alongside the new in an easy-to-follow layout, with annotations in footnotes and fold-outs.
